Hi everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself I'm Natalie Zee Drieu from CRAFT magazine where I blog at craftzine.com and also at my own personal blog, Coquette. Thanks to Kim for inviting me to join the Granny Along. It was a good way for me to make full use of Kim and Cecily's book, Teach Yourself Visually Crocheting. One of my crafting goals this year was to do more crochet and learn more skills rather than just making a crochet flower here and there. Now I am completely hooked. They aren't perfect but I think as I go with each stitch and each square, I'm getting it.
I'm not sure yet if I'm going to make a blanket or a tote bag. I guess I can do both really. All of the yarn I used was from my stash most of which I bought a few years ago from an online yarn shop going out of business. I think they were insanely cheap like $3 a ball. It's a mix of mainly Debbie Bliss Cashmerino (blue and green), Debbie Bliss Merino Wool (pink and light pink), along with the two shades of grey that Wool-Ease Lion Bran Yarn. But of course, it's not just enough to have my old stash. It was a good excuse for me to order more Debbie Bliss Cashmerino in white to do the borders as well as a few other colors I *just* needed.

Of course my puppy Lulu couldn't handle that I wasn't giving her attention and had to step into the shot.
Looking forward to sharing my progress!
